What to Do This Weekend: 5 Ideas to Try

From refreshing your makeup routine to getting a portrait taken, here are a few simple ways to make your weekend feel more intentional. Not every weekend has to be packed with errands, brunch plans, and another event to rush to.
Sometimes, what you really need is a day that feels a little slower, a little more thoughtful, and a little more focused on yourself. If you have some free time this weekend, here are six things worth adding to your list.

1. Refresh Your Everyday Makeup Routine
There is always one makeup step we keep doing simply because it is what we have always done. Use the weekend to experiment with your routine. Try a softer base, a different blush placement, a new lip combination, or finally learn how to do that eye look you keep saving on your phone.
Weekend tip: Pick just one technique to practice instead of attempting a full makeover. It is easier to figure out what actually works for you when you change one thing at a time.

2. Take a Portrait You Actually Love
We take hundreds of photos, but most of them are quick selfies, group shots, or photos taken while we are already doing something else. Give yourself a reason to take one intentionally.
Dress up a little, find good natural lighting, and take a portrait simply because you want to remember how you looked and felt at this point in your life.
Weekend tip: Stand near a large window or shoot outdoors during softer morning or late-afternoon light. Relax your shoulders and move between shots instead of holding one stiff pose.
3. Find a Scent That Feels Like You
Scent can completely change the mood of a space, an outfit, or even your morning routine.
Spend some time exploring fragrances, candles, or room scents and pay attention to the notes you naturally gravitate toward. You might find that you consistently prefer something fresh and clean, warm and woody, sweet and comforting, or floral and light.
Weekend tip: Do not smell too many scents at once. Try three or four, take a short break, then come back to the ones you still remember.

4. Give Your Skin a Proper Reset
A busy week usually means skincare becomes something we rush through before bed.
Use the weekend to slow your routine down. Cleanse properly, hydrate your skin, apply the products you normally skip when you are tired, and give yourself a few extra minutes between each step.
Weekend tip: Keep it simple. A gentle cleanse, hydrating layer, moisturizer, and sunscreen during the day are often enough. You do not need to introduce five new products at once.

5. Put Together a Grazing Table at Home
Not every meal has to be a full sit-down spread. A grazing table can make an ordinary afternoon feel a little more special, whether you are spending it alone, with your partner, or with friends. Mix sweet and savory bites such as cheeses, fruit, bread, pastries, cold cuts, crackers, dips, and your favorite drinks.
Weekend tip: Think in terms of texture and variety. Add something crunchy, something creamy, something fresh, and something sweet so the spread feels complete without needing too many items.
Want to Do All of These in One Afternoon?
If this sounds like your ideal weekend reset, The Olivoré Club's Face Forward is bringing all of these experiences together this Saturday, September 26.
Founded by Justine Bitancor, The Olivoré Club is a women's community that combines connection, creativity, and intentional experiences.

Since launching on August 16, 2026, the community has already welcomed more than 50 women through its first two gatherings, Beaute, Bloom, and Beyond and The Olivoré Cup. For Face Forward, guests can look forward to a hands-on makeup session with Flora Bela, a confidence talk, a portrait shoot, skin preparation, scent discovery, hair styling, a grazing table, and other sensory experiences throughout the afternoon.
The event brings together The Celavive Co., Happy Flames PH, Elvinarios, DanyKosmetics, Kind Formula, and Desi Glow, with food by The Careless Baker and Telly's Manila Kitchen and portraits by Kenny Dani Productions.
