Fashion shows are often about spectacle, but the most memorable ones tend to slow things down. They create a space that feels intentional, almost domestic, where clothes are experienced rather than merely observed. For Louis Vuitton’s Autumn Winter 2026 menswear presentation, that idea took physical form through a house, one designed not just as a backdrop but as a statement about how men might live, dress, and move through the future.

Designed by Pharrell Williams, the prefabricated timber house stood at the center of the Louis Vuitton runway, quietly anchoring the show in architecture rather than theatrics. Installed inside a purpose-built venue at the Jardin d'Acclimatation, just beside the Fondation Louis Vuitton, the structure felt more like a place to inhabit than a set to pass through.

The house, named Drophaus, was developed in collaboration with Japanese architecture studio Not a Hotel. Its defining feature was a large pyramidal roof extending over a curved glass wall that wrapped around the home, referencing the shape of a water droplet. Positioned on a gentle grassy mound and surrounded by manicured lawns, shrubs, and flowering plants, the setting evoked a private garden rather than a traditional fashion venue.
According to Louis Vuitton, the concept imagined a timeless living space situated within nature. Boardwalk-style terraces encircled the house, doubling as seating for guests and reinforcing the idea of leisure and calm. The show unfolded slowly, with models moving through the home and across the lawn, making the architecture feel lived in rather than ornamental.

Inside, the house revealed a carefully considered interior program. Timber surfaces defined the bedroom, living and dining areas, bathroom, and a dedicated listening room fitted with Louis Vuitton–branded vinyl. Each space was furnished with bespoke pieces from Williams’ Homework furniture collection, including an octagonal green lounger whose textured, hand-shaped form nodded to human touch and craft.
The clothes echoed the architecture’s balance of softness and structure. The Autumn Winter 2026 menswear collection combined classic patterns like houndstooth, herringbone, and checks with technical yarns, framing what the brand described as a retro-futuristic elegance. The idea of the droplet carried through the garments, reinforcing a vision of the modern dandy as someone grounded, fluid, and forward-looking.
By placing a house at the center of the runway, Pharrell Williams shifted the conversation from fashion as performance to fashion as environment. Drophaus was not just a set but a suggestion, a glimpse into a future where luxury feels quieter, more personal, and deeply connected to how we choose to live.
