5 Festive Reasons to Visit SM Megamall’s Royal Court of Christmas This 2026

Christmas has officially arrived at SM Megamall, and this year, the mall is taking a royal approach to the holidays!

Launched on October 16, Mega Holidays 2026: The Royal Court of Christmas transforms the Mega Fashion Hall into a chess-inspired Christmas wonderland, complete with towering decorations, musical performances, family-friendly activities, and exciting prizes.

Whether you're planning a family outing, a Christmas date, or simply looking for festive activities around Metro Manila, here are five reasons to add SM Megamall to your holiday plans.

1. Take Christmas Photos With a 45-Foot Royal Christmas Tree

If taking photos with Christmas decorations is part of your annual holiday tradition, SM Megamall has a new backdrop worth checking out.

The Mega Fashion Hall has transformed into a royal court, featuring a red-and-white checkered floor, oversized chess pieces in ruby red, champagne gold, and pearl white, and a towering 45-foot Christmas tree.

Inspired by the elegance of chess, the installation brings a playful yet sophisticated twist to traditional Christmas decorations, making it a festive photo spot for families, couples, and friends.

2. Experience a Christmas Musical With a Live Orchestra

This year's celebration introduces something special: an original Christmas musical accompanied by a live orchestra for the first time in SM Megamall's holiday production history.

Titled The Royal Court of Christmas, the musical follows a young girl who discovers a magical chess-inspired kingdom after finding a present beneath the Christmas tree.

With help from the Jester, Royal Bard, and Kingsguard, she embarks on an adventure to help the Queen and King illuminate the kingdom's grand Christmas tree before returning home to Santa Claus.

Staged by Repertory Philippines, the production features theater performers Kayla Rivera, Markki Stroem, and Emilia Fuglister, with a live orchestral score by the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra.

The musical premiered during the October 16 launch, giving audiences a theatrical start to the holiday season.

3. Meet Santa Claus and Share Your Christmas Wishes
