Taylor Swift is officially part of the Toy Story universe.

The 14-time Grammy winner announced that she has written a new original song, “I Knew It, I Knew You,” for Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5. The track will be released on June 5, ahead of the film’s theatrical opening on June 19. Disney also confirmed that the song was written and produced by Swift with Jack Antonoff, and that it will appear on the Toy Story 5 soundtrack.

For Swift, the project carries a full-circle kind of nostalgia. In her announcement, she shared that she had always dreamed of writing for the characters she first loved as a five-year-old watching the original Toy Story film. She also said she wrote the song as soon as she got home from seeing an early version of the movie.
The reveal follows weeks of fan speculation, sparked by a countdown on Swift’s website and promotional billboards using the familiar Toy Story cloud background and the initials “TS.” As usual, Swifties connected the clues before the official announcement arrived.
Toy Story 5 brings back familiar characters including Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Jessie, while introducing a very modern conflict: the toys facing off against a tablet named Lilypad.
