Miley Cyrus Announces Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special on Disney+

Miley Cyrus is officially celebrating 20 years of Hannah Montana and yes, it feels personal.
The Disney Channel series first premiered on March 24, 2006. Two decades later, Miley is marking the milestone with a special anniversary episode that will stream on Disney+ on March 24, 2026. Same date. Full circle.
Here’s what we know so far, minus the fluff.
The Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special will feature an in-depth interview with Miley, hosted by podcast powerhouse Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper. The special will be filmed in front of a live studio audience, and it will include never-before-seen archival footage from the show. Disney is also rebuilding some of the original sets, including the Stewart family living room and Hannah’s iconic rotating closet.

Hannah Montana aired from 2006 to 2011 and quickly became one of Disney Channel’s most defining shows. It led to multiple soundtrack albums, a feature film, sold-out tours, and songs that still live rent-free in our heads. “Best of Both Worlds,” “Nobody’s Perfect,” “The Climb.” No skips.
The series earned Emmy nominations and helped launch Miley Cyrus into global stardom. Over the years, Miley has been honest about how complicated that era was for her. She has spoken about feeling boxed in by the character at one point, but she has also made it clear that she is grateful.
