2016 Fashion Returns With Hailey Bieber and Kylie Jenner

There was something about 2016 that felt unapologetically fun. Fashion was loud, makeup was experimental, and personal style leaned more “try it anyway” than curated perfection. It was the era of Coachella looks that mattered almost as much as the lineup, full-glam cut creases that took hours to perfect, and outfits that blurred the line between festival wear and everyday dressing.

Fast forward to now, and that same energy is creeping back in. Low-rise silhouettes, statement chokers, glossy lips, and slightly chaotic layering are reappearing, not as irony, but as intention. The difference is maturity. What once felt maximalist for the sake of it now feels like a confident throwback, worn with restraint and self-awareness.

Style stars like Hailey Bieber are revisiting streamlined versions of these looks, while Kylie Jenner continues to nod to the glam-heavy aesthetics that defined her early influence. The result is not a full rewind, but a remix. Familiar, but updated. Nostalgic, but wearable.

If 2026 is about anything, it is permission. Permission to revisit eras that made us feel something, to dress without overthinking, and to remember that fashion is cyclical for a reason.

Sometimes, you really did just have to be there.
